Ninestone visit coming up

Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society will lead a field trip to Ninestone Land Trust in Carroll County on Saturday, October 2. Meet at Ninestone at 9 AM. If you arrive later, you can bird around until you run into us. Directions and other details about Ninestone are available on the NWAAS website, nwarkaudubon.org (when you get the home page, notice “Places to bird in nw Ark” – go there and look for the Ninestone PDF file). Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a member of anything to participate & folks new to birding will find this a fun place to get started. The awesome natural beauty and habitat diversity there makes it a fine place to see & hear birds, plants, springs, and natural rock formations typical of the Ozarks. This is relaxing & easy going all the way.

In case you can't make Ninestone, but still want to get into some conservation action, Audubon Arkansas is sponsoring some field work on the Wilson Springs project in Fayetteville, also on the same day. Willing hands are very welcome. For information about that, contact Michelle Viney, 479-527-0700 or mviney@audubon.org.
